Our Chapter Proudly Partners with Three Organizations

Jewish Women International (JWI)

Jewish Women International provides chapters with prevention programming to create stronger and safer Greek communities.

The Gamma Mu chapter, works with students and adults to create sexual assault and dating violence prevention programming so that they understand how to ask for consent, so that every bystander knows to intervene, so that if a friend discloses after an assault students know how to respond, how to identify an abusive relationship, and build a culture of respect.

Together with SDT, JWI has reached more than 4,000 Greek life students through programs like Safe Smart Dating, a sexual assault and dating violence prevention workshop for Greek life, which has been implemented on nearly 50 campuses nationwide.

Prevent Child Abuse America

Prevent Child Abuse America, or PCAA, is a national organization dedicated to building awareness and educating the nation on the severity of child abuse and neglect. With the help of its nationwide chapters and dedicated volunteers, the organization is the nationwide leader in the effort against child abuse.

The Gamma Mu chapter of Sigma Delta Tau has been dedicated to raising awareness of child abuse since our founding in 1989. Through fundraising and awareness events, SDT sisters and alumnae are helping PCAA provide parents and caregivers with a wide variety of services and resources in communities across the country and ultimately make an impact nationwide.

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation is committed to empowering SDT sisters to grow personally and professionally through annual scholarship opportunities, essential funding of Sigma Delta Tau educational programs, and influential charitable giving from alumnae, collegians, and friends of Sigma Delta Tau.

Through our fundraising events, we are able to inspire a culture of generosity and perpetuating the legacy of our sisterhood for generations to come.

Our Local Philanthropy

In the fall of 2014, our chapter partnered with the B+ Heroes Program, which matches a group with a child battling cancer to provide emotional and financial assistance to them and their family.

Through a variety of fundraisers, we assist our incredible hero and have the privilege of getting to know them and their family. We are honored to have formed this long-term relationship with both our hero and the B+ organization, which also funds critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research.

Powderpuff Philanthropy Event

Powderpuff 2024 Recap

Thank you to everyone who came out to our second annual Powderpuff game to support our philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse American. We had such a blast organizing this event and working with the other greek organizations: Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Zeta, and Delta Tau Delta to raise awareness and funds for all of our philanthropies.

Special shoutout to our incredible VP of Philanthropy, Zoe Posch, as well as her assistant VPs, Kaleigh Logenecker and Hannah Hogan.

All four organizations raised a total of $5,569 and a portion of that will go towards our PCAA philanthropy. And a huge shoutout to our awesome sisters and coaches who crushed it this weekend and won the game!!
